About me
Hello, My name is Roy and I am a psychotherapist BIG. I am trained in both Clinical Psychology and Social and Organizational Psychology, and specialize in integrative psychotherapy and schema therapy (Schematherapist).
I work with adults on an individual basis using an integrative approach focusing on schema therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy. In addition, I offer group psychotherapy, both psychodynamic group psychotherapy and schema-focused group treatment. When appropriate and relevant, I also use experiential and mindfulness-based methods. EMDR treatment is also offered if necessary.
I completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology and film studies, and a master’s degree in social-organizational psychology. I later completed another master’s degree in clinical psychology at Leiden University. I have gained experience in a variety of clinical settings. I regularly engage in continuing education and training. Alongside my clinical work, I have worked for several consultancy firms as an organizational psychologist, mostly focusing on NGOs.
I offer treatment in English, Dutch, and Hebrew.
I am a registered NIP (Dutch Institute of Psychologists) psychologist. In addition, I am internationally trained and licensed as a Schematherapist within the ISST (International Society of Schema Therapy) and the VSt (Association for Schematherapy). Besides, I am a registered psychologist with the Ministry of Health in Israel.
More about my style and approach
Together, we work to create a personalized and collaborative therapeutic space. My aim is for you to feel understood and validated, and to be challenged when that supports the changes you wish to make. I see it as essential that you bring your own language and perspectives into the work of healing, coping with difficulties, and further development.
I support people in developing greater emotional awareness and deeper insight into their hardships, suffering, and recurring patterns of thinking and behavior, through a closer connection with their feelings and underlying needs.
My integrative approach is informed by continuous training and clinical experience, as well as by interests such as art, philosophy, and nature. I draw on these to support how I relate to clients and to engage with the complexity of human experience.
I wish you a meaningful and fruitful therapeutic process.
